Indonesia (Bali) Visa Guide for Indian Travellers

Whether you are surfing in Bali, exploring the cultural hub of Yogyakarta, or visiting Jakarta for business, Indonesia offers a streamlined entry process for Indian citizens. Skyway Tours & Travels assists you with the **E-Visa on Arrival (e-VoA)**, ensuring you skip the payment queues at the airport and head straight to the beach.

⚠️ New Mandatory Requirements (2024-25)

  • Bali Tourist Levy: A mandatory tax of IDR 150,000 (approx ₹800) per person.
  • Electronic Customs Declaration (ECD): You must fill a digital customs form 2 days before arrival to get a QR code.

Visa Types for Indian Nationals

1. Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VoA) - Recommended

This is the most convenient option. You apply and pay online before flying.

  • Visa Code: B213
  • Cost: IDR 500,000 (approx ₹2,700 - ₹3,000 depending on exchange rate).
  • Validity: 30 Days (Single Entry).
  • Extension: Can be extended once online for another 30 days.
  • Benefit: You can use the Autogates at Jakarta and Bali airports to clear immigration in seconds.

2. Standard Visa on Arrival (VoA)

If you prefer not to apply online, you can pay at the airport.

  • Process: Queue at the "Visa on Arrival" payment counter, pay cash (USD/EUR) or card, get a sticker, then queue again for immigration.
  • Note: Queues can be very long (1-2 hours) during peak season in Bali.

Essential Documents Required (e-VoA)

To process your E-VoA through Skyway Tours, we need digital copies of:

  • Passport Scan: Bio-page valid for at least 6 months from entry.
  • Photograph: Recent passport-style photo (White background).
  • Return Flight Ticket: Confirmed booking showing you will leave Indonesia.

Step-by-Step Arrival Guide

Entering Indonesia now requires three distinct steps. We can help guide you through all of them.

Step 1: The Visa (e-VoA)

Apply 7-14 days before your trip. We will send you the PDF visa. Print it and keep a digital copy.

Step 2: The Bali Tourist Levy

If you are visiting Bali, you must pay the "Love Bali" levy.

  • Official Site: lovebali.baliprov.go.id
  • Fee: IDR 150,000 per person (Adults & Children).
  • Output: You get a Levy Voucher with a QR code. Keep this handy; checkpoints may scan it at tourist sites.

Step 3: Customs Declaration (ECD)

Paper forms are no longer used. You must fill the Electronic Customs Declaration (ECD).

  • When: Fill this 2-3 days before your flight.
  • Official Site: ecd.beacukai.go.id
  • Output: You will receive a QR Code.
  • At Airport: After collecting your bags, scan this QR code at the customs exit gate.

Common Questions

Can I convert my Tourist Visa to a Work Visa?

No. The B213 VoA is strictly for tourism, social visits, and transit. Working is illegal.

Do I need a Yellow Fever Vaccine?

Generally No for travellers coming directly from India. It is only required if you are arriving from a Yellow Fever endemic country (like parts of Africa or South America).

What happens if I overstay?

The penalty for overstaying is IDR 1,000,000 (approx ₹5,500) per day. It is strictly enforced. If you need to stay longer than 30 days, contact us to process your extension before your visa expires.
